Fluttering upon the breeze,
Here, there, everywhere.
Often life takes us down an unexpected path or at least that has been my story. I’m thankful to God for this, because I obviously have no idea what’s best for me š.
When our son, our first, was only two years old, my loving husband, looks at me and with one suggestion, challenges me in a way I never imagined.
“You should homeschool our kids,” he had said.
What?! No one does that. Do they?… Here we are with a two year old and a new baby. I just always assumed we would put them on the bus when they turned five. That’s what I did as a kid, as did my husband, along with the majority of kids.
“Just look into,” was the request.
So I half-heartedly started an internet search on homeschooling. With the more I read, the more interested I became, sparking a more in depth search. Much to my surprise, I ended up with a huge list of positive reasons to homeschool! And here was this pathetic, tiny list of reasons why we should not homeschool (Ironically, top of the list was socialization, which was squashed quickly. We are very fortunate to have found an amazing network of friends through homeschooling ā¤ļø).
From there it became official, we are a homeschooling family. I am truly grateful that this is the path God has chosen for us. For every tough day there are several wonderful moments to take it’s place. Together we are building a lifetime of memories. How could I want anything more?
