By The Light Of Lady Liberty
Oh say can we see
By the light of Lady Liberty
People united and strong
Who've learned from injustice, the wrongs.
People who repent, people who forgive
Arm in arm they forge on, they live
Joined by a sense of pride,
Thankful for the brave who've died
Fighting for freedom, fighting for justice,
Fighting to make this home, for all of us.
Oh say can we see
By the light of Lady Liberty
Our courageous soldiers,
Relentless first responders,
Tenacious health care workers,
Peaceful protestors,
Dedicated essential workers,
And upright citizens
That strive to make America it's best,
Saying,I see you, I hear you,
NO one person is less.
Oh say can we see
By the light of Lady Liberty
The love we have for this nation
Where we cultivate inspiration
In a sea full of different faces.
Ancestors and friends from different places
Intimately woven into stripes and stars
That hide our healing scars.
May it forever fly where all are free,
Home to the altruistic and the brave.

Find beauty in the everyday.
With a grateful heart,
Heather
