An Endless Blue Dream – #TANKA Tuesday No. 214

An Endless Blue Dream

Golden rays smile down
Eagle moves kite-like across
An endless blue dream
No clouds dare enter the scene
Here, there is no room for rain

Perhaps I should have shown an eagle soaring in the sky for my featured photo; however, I just love this photo of the eagle looking out of its nest. The striking blue, the golden beak, the intense eyes of the eagle…This photo speaks to me!

Take notice the size of the eagle’s nest! (See pictures below)

#TANK TUESDAY Challenge No. 214 – This week Colleen challenged us to write a Tanka poem using the word DREAM.

A Tanka poem has 5 lines following a syllable count of 5-7-5-7-7. There is no rhyming (although I may have rhymed a little unknowingly 🙂) and no punctuation at the end of the lines.

Find beauty in the every day.

With a grateful heart,

Welcome new friends. I'm Heather, a homeschooling mama raising three children alongside my husband. I love to walk our two dogs, photograph nature, and write poetry. As a family, we love reading together, creating art, sports and all things nature. We also enjoy sharing our learning experiences with friends and creating co-op opportunities. I enjoy writing about our homeschool adventures, as well as nature and sharing recipes. My heart is grateful for my family, our homeschool, our friends and homeschool community, as well as the nature around us. In addition to following my blog, you can find me on Facebook at Home Study from the Grateful Heart.
