Nature Up Close

I found this American Green Tree Frog in my backyard last year. I followed it around for as long as it would let me.

This snail was busily working it’s way around a calla lily leaf. It was inspiration for my poem Swirling.

I was very excited to find this grasshopper on my screen last summer. I have never seen such a vivid grasshopper!

This dragonfly has just emerged from it’s nymph exoskeleton! This was our lucky find today. How my son spotted it on the ground, I’ll never know.

Here is one of many beautiful flowers that were in a tropical aviary.

An early autumn, morning dew laying upon a wildflower in a meadow. These wildflowers were the inspiration for my poem With The Dew.

I am sharing my photos with Cee’s CMMC April Up Close or Macro and Becky’s BrightSquares

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
With a grateful heart,
Heather

Welcome new friends. I'm Heather, a homeschooling mama raising three children alongside my husband. I love to walk our two dogs, photograph nature, and write poetry. As a family, we love reading together, creating art, sports and all things nature. We also enjoy sharing our learning experiences with friends and creating co-op opportunities. I enjoy writing about our homeschool adventures, as well as nature and sharing recipes. My heart is grateful for my family, our homeschool, our friends and homeschool community, as well as the nature around us. In addition to following my blog, you can find me on Facebook at Home Study from the Grateful Heart.
