The Path Well Traveled

I find myself in an all too familiar place. At the head of the trail, I stand staring at what lies ahead. Staring down the path, I know exactly where it will lead me. In my mind, I can see every twist and turn, every uneven step, as they are a part of me. Despite this intimate knowledge, there is always an element of the unknown, which saves the soul from the mundane. For I never know what treasures today’s trek will reveal. The only way to uncover them…is to walk the trail once more.

through every season
trees sway to the winds command
while gold strands unveil

I am sharing my post with Tanka Tuesday. This week’s theme is discovery.

I am also sharing my post with Cee’s CFFC. This week’s photography prompt is ground: sand, dirt, trail, walk, etc.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day! Remember to look for the little treasures during your daily routine.
With a grateful heart,
Heather

Welcome new friends. I'm Heather, a homeschooling mama raising three children alongside my husband. I love to walk our two dogs, photograph nature, and write poetry. As a family, we love reading together, creating art, sports and all things nature. We also enjoy sharing our learning experiences with friends and creating co-op opportunities. I enjoy writing about our homeschool adventures, as well as nature and sharing recipes. My heart is grateful for my family, our homeschool, our friends and homeschool community, as well as the nature around us. In addition to following my blog, you can find me on Facebook at Home Study from the Grateful Heart.
